Like most people, I had never even heard of Eagles of Death Metal until Jesse Hughes controversial comments were plastered all over social media, so he is personally responsible for any negative consequences suffered to himself and his band.

According to various articles, Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes, called the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School “disgusting vile abusers of the dead” for participating in the March for Our Lives protest.

Hughes wrote in a series of typo-riddled posts on Instagram; “When the truth don’t line up with your bullshit narrative just hold your breath and stamp your feet and refused to except it”. Although the posts were eventually deleted, they were preserved in a number of places.

According to this article: Jesse Hughes is a Gun-Toting, NRA Member and Trump Supporter. The fact that he’s a NRA Member and Trump Supporter gives insight into his point of view regarding the student protests.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion… my opinion is Eagles of Death Metal Jesse Hughes SUCKS for dissin students for their March for Our Lives demonstrations.

These student have a right to protest anything they want and I think the ones who are “VILE” are Jesse Hughes and those who criticized the students.

As shown in the above screen capture from billboard, Eagles of Death Metal has never even had a top 40 hit.

I think everyone should BOYCOTT Eagles of Death Metal’s concerts because of Jesse Hughes comments.

I think students should PROTEST and hold demonstrations at EVERY Eagles of Death Metal concert until the group either disbands or kicks Jesse Hughes out of the group.

Saying in a video, “If Barack Obama becomes the next president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year” sounded like a threat to kill the president of the United States by a lot of people.

Can’t understand why he hasn’t been arrested, prosecuted and put in prison for death threats and advocating violence. Many a high school kid has been arrested and put in prison for saying less than Nugent.
